My Baby!

I just had to show how cute my daughter's hair is.  She is my biggest hair inspiration.  She even tells me she likes my hair!  She doesn't like her toes polished though!

I try to keep her hair regimen simple, but sometimes I'll give her hair the same treatment as mine.  Like this weekend, when I prepooed her hair with VO5 conditioner and detangled it, there seemed to be a lot of shed hair.  I also had to realize her hair had been up for 2 eeks!   I got kind of scared so I washed it with a clarifying shampoo and put a protein conditioner in.  I let that sit, but she went to the store with her dad and they took the bag off her head.  When she got back and I rinsed the protein out, her hair had even more knots in it.  I felt terrible for letting the protein sit so long.  After added the deep conditioner and detangled again and got more shed or breaking hair this time, I vowed that I would only wash her hair in twists or braids next time.  Just like I had seen some of my favorite you-tubers do.  After rinsing the deep and adding leave-ins, I braided her hair up to let it air dry.  By the time I styled her hair, (just in cornrows going back with zigzag parts), it was manageable and felt good again.  OH MY BABY!

LOL! LMBO!

I would say about the second day or so I came to work after my big chop, my male Bosnian co-worker said "I like your hair, something normal."  I couldn't believe he said that.  Something normal.  I guess to him my straight hair, and the many ways I wore my hair prior to my big chop, was abnormal until I wore my natural, true, texture.  How do they know and we as women, black women, not embrace us.

Moisture, Moisture, Moisture

I just wanted to show a pic of my hair the next day after spraying and working my glycerin mix through my hair.
This picture is of my hair the next day after I used the glycerin.  It is still shiny and just as moistruized the next day.  I love this mix for my hair and my daughter's hair.  It doesn't weigh my hair down or have a build up.  I can defintely tell the difference in my wash-n-go's when I use this after my leave-in or instead of my leave-in as opposed to when I don't.  This will definitely be a staple in my hiar regimen. It is super easy to make and lasts a while if you use it right.
